Education is Important!
I went to school in Yucaipa, California 1st Grades through 12th Grade and loved my years in school. I played tennis on the high school tennis team, sang in the school choir, and loved hanging out with my friends.
I spent a year and a half in Santiago, Chile where I loved the people and learned to speak Spanish fluently.
I graduated from Brigham Young University (BYU) in 1990 with my Bachelors degree in Elementary Education.
I have taught Kindergarten and 1st Grade in Rancho Cucamonga, Ca. Then I moved to Houston, Texas and taught 3rd Grade. I was also the school Science Specialist. I loved the diversity in Houston and the food was especially good. The "Tex-Mex" was outstanding, as well as the Cajun, the seafood, and the barbeque!

After teaching for several years, I attended Northwestern State University, in Natchitoches, Louisiana. There I earned a Master's Degree in Educational Leadership/Administration.
When I moved to Utah, I taught 2nd Grade at Monroe Elementary in Granite School District for 3 years.
I then had the opportunity to be the Assistant Principal at Lake Ridge and Monroe. After one year I became a principal at Oquirrh Hills Elementary. I was there for seven years. I am now at Valley Crest Elementary in West Valley City and have been here for ten years. I love my job, the students, the amazing teachers, the wonderful community and being at Valley Crest. Please come and talk with me if you have questions or concerns. Valley Crest is a great place to be!
